Garden blogger bloom day scans

I couldn’t bear to do another somber ’seeds and twigs’ scan. Needed some color instead. So I went with the African violets and some late-forced bulbs.

I really wasn’t all that excited about the bulb scans. But you can bet that sometime this summer I’ll plop some yellow flowers down on the background.

As always, thanks for Carol at May Dreams Garden for hosting.

Lovely color. I am feeling that end of winter hunger for color. Happy Valentines day and Bloom day too.

Finally, I tried it Ellis Hollow-style! It was FUN. I can’t wait until I have more flowers to work with.

Do you have a tag or a link I can link to that will have all your scans on one page?

Found it.

These remind me of sixties style psychodelic graphics, maybe for an album cover or a trendy dutch bulb catalog.

Hiya Craig,

I was banished outside for my ’scans’. And they are twigs and seeds ;-)

Multiplying that Saintpaulia makes it go a long way. They look edible. Daren’t enlarge for fear they will engulf me. Vry striking indeed. I look forward to the red tulip season.

BTW, would you be able to tell me why variegated Pittosporum is winter hardy and the green varieties aren’t? I would have thought it would be the reverse.

Yes, this seems like the time of year we get a little desperate for blooms. I like all those African violets…

Oooh, abstracts! These are very fun, but I know you long for flowers from the garden.

Wow, that is mind-blowing. Very different from your usual scans.
