With the approach of catalog season, I would be remiss if I didn’t plug our Vegetable Varieties for Gardeners website. I think we’re up to about 4,500 variety descriptions with seed sources. It would be great if we could get more ratings and reviews. Please visit and contribute.

Seed catalogs are great for chasing away the winter blues. But lately, I’ve spent more time in winter looking for ‘plant porn’. Here are a few worth surfing:
