Welcome to rem@rc!
I enjoy working with people in creating usable and useful interfaces and creating these sites gives me a creative outlet and an opportunity to contribute to worthy causes. I took a leave from Cornell University to complete a Public Health Informatics certificate from the University of Maryland. I'm currently updating my clinical skills working as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, but miss the academic and technology side of things. In my spare time I bicycle and work on restoring a vintage Airstream.
The Name - remarc.com
REMARC is CRAMER spelled backwords. I actually married into the name. I registered this domain for Craig in the early days of the world wide web as a present and when I looked to see who owned the .net and .org sites, it happened to be his brother. I guess they both played around with the name as kids. I now identify with the name and the concept of a remark makes sense for a web design project:
Definition of REMARK (aka rem@rc):
To mark in a notable manner; to distinquish clearly; to make noticeable or conspicuous; to point out.
To express in words or writing, as observed or noticed; to state; to say.
A print or proof so distinguished; -- commonly called a Remarque proof.
The expression, in speech or writing, of something remarked or noticed; the mention of that which is worthy of attention or notice; hence, also, a casual observation, comment, or statement; as, a pertinent remark.
